The Toko race initially come from a planet much larger than most considered terrestrial planets. Before becoming space borne, they were considerably stronger than most other races but significantly more diminutive. Several generations of having been in 0-g situations, the Toko began to grow significantly, no longer held down by the rigors of their old home, but also unable to return.

Most Alliance machines are tuned to use the As-18 plugsuit. Mechs to fighters to Rec Speeders, all use the 18 thanks to its highly efficient insulation and clear vital reads. The most major complaints often comes from the pilots, mainly about comfort ability.
